Episode 36 – Reversals of Gravity
The crew learns that sometimes you DON’T cross that bridge when you come to it.
Welcome to the world of Pathfinder, a popular fantasy role-playing game with a dedicated community of players and fans. With the recent surge of interest in the game, we wanted to take a moment to highlight some of the resources available to those new to the system.
The Beginner’s Box is a great place to start for those new to Pathfinder. This box contains everything you need to get started, including a rulebook, pre-made characters, and a simple adventure. You can find the Beginner’s Box for free on Paizo’s website at https://paizo.com/pathfinder/beginnerbox.
For those looking for a space adventure, we recommend checking out Paizo’s Starfinder rules-set. With the ability to play as a space orc or pilot giant mechs on far-flung planets, Starfinder offers a unique and exciting gaming experience. The Starfinder Beginner Box might also be a good starting point for you.
If you’re coming from 5e, we suggest taking a look at Pathfinder 2e. The fully free rules for this edition of the game can be found at https://2e.aonprd.com/. The website “Archives of Nethys” also has an excellent guide for players new to the system, which can be found at https://2e.aonprd.com/PlayersGuide.aspx.
Finally, for those looking for a convenient and easy-to-use character builder, we recommend checking out the free online builders at https://pathbuilder2e.com/ or https://wanderersguide.app/. These online tools will make it easy to create and manage your characters.
Additionally, we welcome you to check out our podcast Far Beyond the Stars which features the Starfinder Rules System and Fantastic Worlds Podcast which features the Pathfinder Rules System.
We hope you enjoy your time with Pathfinder and have many fantastic adventures. The community is friendly and supportive and you will find a lot of resources and people to help you on your way.

While I haven’t had a chance to bring it to the table yet, I picked up the 2e core book about 6 months ago and have really enjoyed it.
